We needed to bring multiple trades on board, from alarm system specialists to builders experienced with Copp Cragg sandstone.

This rear extension was designed, using our architect Martin McMullen, to include a new kitchen and wet room. Following Martin’s excellent drawings, in conjunction with structural engineer work, as well as with the obtained building warrant and planning permission, we began work on site.

It was vital to keep the extension in keeping with the property. Therefore, we undertook repointing to repair and protect the Copp Cragg sandstone on the external walls. We achieved an excellent colour match. Also in line with matching the existing home, we used wooden windows and a zinc roof. Within this, we placed a striking roof light well.
Internally, it was necessary to install a new fuse board. A new fire alarm system was also installed. We installed a bespoke kitchen, from Howdens. We were able to undertake bespoke spraying of plywood, to complement the rest of the kitchen, in our workshop. These pieces were then put in place, alongside the impressive stone worktop.
We also laid the Amtico Spacia stone floor, supplied by Millers.

A really pleasing and inspiring space has been created with the extension, showcasing modernity, whilst being in perfect keeping with the original property.
